ABOUT THE DISTILLERY
Patrik Axelsson's professional journey as a distiller began in 2010 when he co-founded a new Swedish distillery. After a few years, the distillery was up and running and the production of whisky and gin was in full swing.
The demand for the distillery's GIN products increased and in 2020 NORDIC DISTILLER was started where Patrik is Master Destiller and founder. The quality of the products is top class and in 2020 Classic Organic Gin was awarded the "World's Best Gin" award at the World Gin Awards in London.
The distillery, just outside the city Örebro in Sweden, is beautifully located by a large lake and the proximity to nature is close by. The name of the region is “Bergslagen”, hence the name of the brand "Bergslagens Gin".
The Bergslagen region was once the heart of the mining industry and iron production in Sweden, Bergslagen has transformed into a gourmet and meal region recognized for top-end restaurants and innovative local food producers. All of them are inspired by nature and the surroundings with deep forests, rivers, lakes and rich wildlife, supplying the producers with all the raw material they need. This is where our products has its origin.
Our inspiration comes from the Bergslagen region, its creativity and entrepreneurship with roots since the 1100s when the mountain men first came to the area to seek for the treasures in the mountain. We produce first and foremost Gin but also provide the market with whisky, vodka and Aquavit.
As far as possible, we use spices and ingredients from the region. Everything we produce is small scale and made with passion and love for the craft

CLASSIC
ORGANIC GIN
The lingonberries, juniper, coriander seeds and lemon peel bring a sweet, herbal citrus aroma to the gin. Bergslagens is a premium gin with a flavour profile developed and quality controlled by our Master Destiller.
Bergslagens Classic Organic Gin is made only with the finest botanicals. A truly unique gin with its base alcohol distilled from selected winter wheat from the region.

NAVY
STRENGTH GIN
The Navy Strength gin is fantastic for cocktails. The character of the gin can really stand up to the other flavors in the cocktail which makes it a favorite among many bartenders all over the world. Bergslagen’s Navy Strength Gin is made from the same distilled gin as our Classic Gin, but diluted to 57.1% instead of 45.7%. This gives the gin a richer and bolder flavour of juniper and citrus. OLD TOM
GIN
Old Tom Gin is made from the same distilled gin as our Classic Gin but with a little bit more juniper. We have also added some sweetness after the distillation, as you always do with your Old Tom Gin. The sweetness elevates the flavours and gives the gin more taste and makes it smoother.

OAK AGED
GIN
The casks previously contained Oloroso sherry from the province of Cádiz in Andalusia in southern Spain and then whisky
It is on these barrels that our OAK Gin has been stored for 6 months. This brings a sweet, fruity and lovely aroma to the Gin with a touch of fine whisky tones. The availability of the Oak aged Gin is limited and depends on the availability of used whisky barrels.

KLASSISK GIN
København is Danish for Copenhagen. København Klassisk Gin carries one of the highest levels of juniper berries in the world delivering flavour the original way. The creatively crafted small batch gin is a modern variation over a classic theme.
The distillation process and its micro vaporization brings out the best of the Nordic spruce, juniper, citrus and licoriceroot in a unique combination.

LOUNGE GIN
A lounge is an area to feel relaxed. Most important is comfort regardless if you make your choice for a sofabased environment or for a collection of cocktail chairs. A lounge is not only for waiting, meetings and presentations can also be held here. It is important to select seating furniture offering comfort even for longer meetings.
The distillation process and its micro vaporization brings out the best of the Nordic spruce, juniper, citrus and rose hips.

SINGLE MALT WHISKY
Produced and bottled by award winning Nordic Distiller in Sweden. A modern, young and vibrant single malt distilled using traditional but refined methods to enhance the flavours and experience.Matured on the finest ex. Bourbon casks the gives the whisky an elegant, fruity notes with a hint of vanilla and oak.

NAVY GIN
København Navy Strength gins do not have a clear taste profile, but is most often referred to as one of the strong gins, as in order to have its name, it must have a minimum alcohol percentage of 57%, where “ordinary” gins must have an alcohol percentage much lower.
København Navy Strength is a tribute to the old sailor’s tradition in a modern version.

PINK GIN
København Pink Gin a distillery making a name for itself with both classic gins and a wide range of flavoured variations, turns its eyes towards pink gin with this punchy number.
A soft pink hue belies the massive grapefruit zest nose, which softens with fruit jellies and a touch of lime. A quick neat sip shows the spirit to be smooth and creamy and the citrus aromas to be very punchy – but this isn’t a sweet gin, per se.
Suitably expanded with tonic, ice and a pink grapefruit wedge garnish, this is summer in a glass. Chase’s ability to extract indecent amounts of fresh, zesty grapefruit and pomelo peel and put them in your glass is nothing short of impressive.

KØBENHAVN
KLASSISK VODKA
Distilled and bottled in Sweden. Made from winter wheat that grows in soil awakened from the unfriendly Scandinavian winter. The vodka is carefully distilled to produce a smooth and nice taste with some fine mineral notes, citrus and white bread. For the vodka, we use clear and fine spring water to dilute the distillate down to the desired alcohol content. No steps in the process are left to chance. The elegant taste makes it perfect for sipping or mixing in cocktails.
